Fair Appliance Repair Service is indeed fair and operates with an excellent business ethic. They were quick to respond to my request for help with my electric clothes dryer and respectful and well-informed in our cellphone talk. Based on his questioning, he was able to determine that repairs to my dryer would cost verging on the price of a new purchase. He does need deal in new purchases so he wasn’t going to benefit by that verdict. He easily could have set the appointment date and come out in person to tell me the same thing and charged $99 for diagnosis. Instead, the call was free. If it had been a reasonable and affordable repair, the $99 diagnostic fee would roll over into the parts and labor. I will be calling Fair Appliance Repair Service any time I need work done in the future! ~ Carol G

I originally contacted this company for routine washer and dryer maintenance. Prior to my selecting company, I inquired what does the maintenance service include. Syad described all the service points that he would perform in a manner that I easily understood. During the phone call, he stated he could also include maintenance of my refrigerator for a very small fraction of the regular cost. During the appointment, Syad offered tips to help prolong the life of my washer, dryer, and refrigerator appliances. Although I had called 5 other companies for comparison, I am extremely impressed with the quality of work, professionalism, knowledge and time efficiency that Syad provided. I will definitely contact Syad again for other maintenance and repair issues. ~ Gretta

Fair Appliance Repair Service (FARS) has a surprisingly good website that allows you to schedule a repair for your specific appliance make and model and particular issue. Sayed was communicative and arrived on time. He very quickly diagnosed two separate appliance issues in minutes, efficiently fixed them, and educated me, as a DIYer, on how to prevent them from recurring. He was so confident that he solved the issue that he tripled the warranty period on the labor. He also diagnosed a second appliance issue for free, one that I can fix on my own. He was very professional, neat, competent and trustworthy, and the cost was reasonable, especially considering the quality of the service. I would seek out his services again, when needed, and highly recommend him. ~ Andrew M

I made an appointment via Fair Appliance Repair Service’s website as my oven was not heating. It was very easy and convenient with an appointment available immediately. Sayad arrived on time and was very professional and patient with our questions regarding the repair and cost to fix it vs replacing the oven. His knowledge regarding the repair was excellent and he provided guidance on how to extend the life of our range. He ordered the original part from the maker and worked around my work schedule to return to do the repair. Forever grateful for an honest, fair, reliable company that I will use again for any future appliance repair needs. I am truly thankful for Sayed and his willingness to answer my call late at night when my refrigerator broke down. Not only that, but he knew what the issue was just from the model number of my refrigerator, and he was able to provide helpful recommendations about how to proceed. I sometimes wonder when I see a business getting all five-star reviews, but I gave FARS a call and now I am adding my own five-star review to the others. I spoke with Sayed in the morning about my dishwasher that was making funny noises and would not drain, and he was at my house that same afternoon to fix the problems. The repair was more complicated than we first thought, but Sayed was up to the task. He was professional, courteous, very competent technically, and communicative. I often find that otherwise-good contractors and repair services fall short on communication, but Sayed showed me what he was finding and doing, and gave me some good tips on how to improve the efficiency of my dishwasher. Thanks, Sayed! I hope I don't need another appliance repair for a while, but I'm keeping the FARS number handy just in case. ~ Allan

Submitted an online appointment, the appointment window was from 8am-12pm . The technician arrived at 12:10pm, he did call me to let me know he was running late. However that is a big appointment window. Once he diagnosed the problem, he quoted me and luvkly had the parts available. Within 1 hour he had the dryer back up and running. He also showed me how much lint can get accumulated over the years and to clean it evey 2 years. Very professional and knowledgeable. He also mentioned how he only repairs with OEM parts which are original and does not use after market parts to ensure appliances last. As far as payment method he accepts venmo/cash no cards. ~ Andy M

Garage refrigerator internal temp rose to 60 degrees on Sacramento’s hottest (109) day thus far this year. Sayed adjusted the lower refrigerator door hinge which more properly aligned the door and allowed the door gasket to seal. In the days since his visit the internal temp is in the safe range, below 40. Sayed recommended leaving the grille and compressor access cover off to allow for greater air flow; and directing a fan towards the compressor on very hot days (last part not yet done). Sayed also recommended next steps if problem was recurs including replacing the hinge and cam, and damper since the labor rate will be the same. Pleased with Sayed’s work and recommendations. ~ David

Sayed was very informative during the entire repair process. He gave us an accurate estimate during every step of the process, and was extremely thorough with both the diagnosis of the problem and the subsequent repair. He realigned the door of our refrigerator for free, replaced a broken switch in our freezer, and thawed the water line to the ice maker. He was easy to talk to and very up front with what we should expect from each step. He answered each of our questions competently and kindly; he didn't brush off any of our concerns or questions, and was very respectful. If I could give more than five stars, I would! So grateful to Mr. Sayed for so many things. Not only did he answer my call on a Sunday, he treated me with kindness, professionalism, and speed! I had a spill on my gas range and a short in the circuit, which was likely going to be a very expensive repair (or replacement). My refrigerator stopped cooling and so I called this business because of the reviews I read online. All I can say is all the reviews were correct. He was there on time and was able to diagnose the issue real quick. He also told me that the part that needs to be repaired should still be under warranty and to call the manufacturer. He walked me through what the process should be and he was correct. I called the manufacturer , and his diagnosis was correct and I was able to get the refrigerator fixed and the part was still covered under warranty. Definitely give this business a call if you want to deal with a company who has their customer as their number one priority. ~ Hardeep H

I had an issue with my dryer and called Fair Appliance Repair. The technician came out and, almost miraculously, the dryer was working during his visit. At that time, it was getting 240 volts to the outlet. However, after he left, the dryer stopped working again. He returned without charging me for another service call, and upon further diagnosis, he found it was only receiving 120 volts, it turned out to be a breaker issue. He came back a third time to make sure everything was resolved. My dryer is now working perfectly. He was incredibly thorough, fairly priced, and very accommodating with my schedule. I called Fair Appliance Repair Service this morning at 7AM, and Sayed called me back with in 5 minutes. He was able to come to my home as his second appointment for the day. I was really please that he was available so quickly. He gave me a fair estimate for services and parts provided there were no other issues when he removed the inside panel of my refrigerator. There were no other issues. I need to also add another compliment. Sayed saw that I had a garbage disposal that I had not installed yet. He gave me a fair price to install that before he left. After talking to several appliance companies who told me that they don’t work on built-in refrigerators, I found Fair Appliance Repair Service (FARS). I decided to send a text on Saturday evening around 8pm figuring I wouldn’t hear back until Monday and would get the same response. “Do you work on built in Kitchenaid refrigerators?” Within a minute he replied, “yes.” Within another 5 minutes we had an appointment set up for Monday. Sayed showed up in the promised window and within 20 minutes diagnosed the problem. He asked if it was ok to go to his shop to get the part and come back. I had expected to wait a few days for the part to come in!! Once he was back it only took another 30 minutes to replace the part and our refrigerator was working. The price was fair - especially I was assuming we may have to buy a new fridge. He did a great job explaining the issue and providing top notch service. ~ Erik K

I asked for recommendations from my Natomas Neighborhood group for someone to fix my washing machine and was told Fair Appliance Repair Service and ask for Sayed. Well - that was a GREAT recommendation! Sayed got here the same day, diagnosed the issues, ordered the parts and came back today(the next day) to do the repair. He was very professional and friendly. After doing the repair, he stayed until the washer almost finished a full cycle to be certain things were in good working order. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. Sayeed is such a nice man. He is part of the Next Door community which is where i found him I have whirlpool steam dryer and i thought the hearing element went out but after bad experience with first " handyman" still not work. Sayeed had to spend significant amount of time troubleshooting as it was actually 2 or 3 small parts that were causing the problem making for expensive repair, and knowing i was in a financial crisis he let me pay what i could afford, and subsidized the rest with his community care fund, which totally saved me. I recently had another issue after moving, would try to start etc , and surprisingly all he had to do was unscrew top and manually turn the drum and was fine! And only charged 1/2 of a regular service call. Our neighborhood power went out for a few hours. When the power restored, our refrigerator wasn’t functioning properly. It would turn on, but wouldn’t cool anymore. Oh my, ice maker freezing up. Who do I call? Looked on line for a family owned business and then check on Better Business. I found the Fair Appliance Repair Service met my criteria for a reliable business. I immediately called and left a message. Sayed Sajadi, of Fair Alliance Repair Service returned my call less than 12 hours later. Sayed knew immediately what was happening. I appreciated that he provided options to fix the problem. The word, "FAIR" in his company name is well earned. His is knowledgeable and "fair" in his pricing. He reminded me of a "good neighbor" next door with his willingness to help. ~ Patricia S

Sayed is very professional and very competent. This is the second repair service he has performed for us. The first was diagnosing and repairing a faulty freezer in the refrigerator. He took care to find the problem, testing all the possibilities, got the freezer going again, and charged fair price. The most recent visit was for the washing machine. He diagnosed the problem, went out and got the needed part, and finished the repair in the same afternoon. He charged a good price for the repair. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Sayed was responsive, personable and fast. Our fridge decided to no longer cool so after a quick google search for repair places we decided to go with Fair Appliance Repair Service because of all their 5 stars. Called on a Thursday and Sayed answered immediately. He seemed to already know what the issue was so when he showed up the VERY NEXT DAY to give an official diagnosis he was prepared with all the parts necessary to get the job done. Sayed showed up quickly and was very professional. I am fairly handy so I had done a fair bit of research on why the dishwasher was not draining and cleared the usual suspects. So I thought I would need a new drain pump and did not want to spend the time and effort sourcing it and struggle putting it in. Sayed did the same things I did but was able to remove the drain pump quickly and discover glass in there. Removed the glass and it is now running like a champ. He could have been dishonest and told me it was shot as I had already suspected it, but he was very honest and saved me some money. Would highly recommend his services to others. ~ Brandon R

Technician came out and was on time during his service window. He was able to diagnose the problem and also advised me of the cost benefit of what my solution needed to be. For my dishwasher I had an issue with my motor but also there was electrical issues that could have added extra issues that I wasn't aware of. He advised me to replace the dishwasher unit and he gave me a very good itemized quote as what it would cost to fix the problem that we knew we had but not the other issue that could be there and he wanted to save me money.
